Major activities of the Helfenstein Soup council have been the Justice Day rally and teach-in, The In the Light Show cable educational show and the soy food co-op. Today the educational aspect is a monthly themed meeting, a garden co-op has been formed, and the rally is now a Peace and Justice festival; and we continue to give an Environmental Hero award each year. And this year we plan to have a Earth day celebration and a new award will be given this year called the PEACE OWL AWARD, to honor the founder of the H. S. C. Jim Olmsted. On-going have been the monthly meeting at the 1st Sunday which is run on a consensus agenda and ends with a potluck meal, and a newsletter which is free to our open membership.
We do have a bank account, officers and accept donations; all activities are free and done by volunteer helpers. The website has been created and may be one of our most challenging projects; but we do believe in using every tool to help us in reaching out and spreading the message that everyone counts; and that together we are able to do big things for our community, the Mother Earth and each other.

The Helfenstein Soup Council is a family and community orientated group. We have consensus that drugs and alcohol will not be in our children's presence or part of our Gatherings. We ask that everyone respect the order of those hosting us. Thank you. Live and let live.
